FosterNeuro is led by a passionate team of high school students dedicated to empowering our peers through accessible brain health education. We recognized the lack of conversation and awareness around the early prevention of neurological diseases and decided to take action to help bridge this gap through community workshops, virtual programming, and youth-driven advocacy focused on long-term cognitive wellness.
Hello! My name is Alyssa Jeong, and I am a junior at Coronado. My interest in neurological health began when my grandfather was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and I saw how neurodegenerative illness affects both patients and their families. Although these diseases are widely discussed, most people are not taught how to practice preventative care until much later in life. After recognizing this gap, I helped found FosterNeuro to empower students to take charge of their brain health early and protect their future well-being. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing volleyball, spending time with friends, and taking walks around my neighborhood.
Hey! My name is Sandy Zheng, and I am a sophomore at Coronado. My interest in biomedical engineering has led me to learn about neuro-prosthetics. Throughout this process, I fell in love with neuroscience! Personally, most of my family did not have access to education or adequate healthcare growing up—I decided to find FosterNeuro to help bridge that gap. By spreading awareness and prevention about neurological disease, I hope that everyone has a chance to learn more about their body. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, the cello, doomscrolling…and hanging out with friends!

Hi my name is Matthew, I'm currently a sophomore at Coronado. I decided to join FosterNeuro because I wanted to help learn more about neurological diseases and help spread awareness about them. I enjoy playing soccer and listening to music. My favorite artist is Carti and my favorite song from him is either Flex or wokeuplikethis with Uzi. I also enjoy hanging out with friends, whether that be online playing video games or in person.
